The Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing licenses RNs, LPNs, and nurse practitioners and approves nursing programs in the state. Apply for and renew your license through the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) at pals.pa.gov. Pennsylvania joined the Nurse Licensure Compact in July 2025, so a Pennsylvania multistate license lets you practice in other compact states.
